Real estate valuation and analytics fintech leader forges ahead with hiring, innovation, and product development
Clear Capital, a real estate valuation and analytics fintech leader, today announced the expansion of its data engineering & analytics and product teams with four senior-level hires. Erik Allen joins Clear Capital as chief data scientist; Shiraz Datta as product marketing director, technology and analytics; Rhonda Johnson as senior partner channel manager; and Heather Zeller as product marketing director, valuation services.
With over six decades of combined experience, Allen, Datta, Johnson, and Zeller will work together with their respective teams to create innovative data and software products to not only support clients but also to support the millions of people who apply for home loans daily. Together, they will solidify Clear Capital’s product roadmap through 2020 — which includes refining a property analysis tool that enables accurate property valuations and quick geographic competency.
Prior to joining Clear Capital:
- Allen led a team of data scientists as the founder and head of data science at Rho AI, where he oversaw projects spanning multiple machine learning disciplines.
- Datta served as the product marketing and marketing strategy advisor for Drop.com, Rize Modular, and iSource and was formerly on the senior product marketing team for Amazon’s Alexa.
- Johnson served in several relationship and partner capacities with Core Logic, most recently as senior channel and product manager.
- Zeller was most recently product marketing manager for Renew Financial Group and marketing communications manager for Liberty Home Equity Solutions.

Clear Capital has added more than 200 team members since January 2020. Prior to this latest hiring round, the company onboarded its Chief Appraiser John Brennan and several strategic leadership hires within its Appraisal Services Group (ASG). The company also promoted Jeff Allen, who served as executive vice president of valuation strategy, to executive vice president of innovation labs.
Clear Capital continues to capitalize on its success in delivering advanced real estate valuation and data solutions, and has strategically adapted services including house listings, inspections, and appraisals to function virtually amid the current pandemic.
This latest announcement follows Clear Capital’s launch of ClearCollateral Review®, a review system that automates collateral underwriting in compliance with internal credit policies and GSE guidelines. ClearCollateral Review eliminates manual tasks, ultimately freeing up lenders so they can focus on a better borrower experience.
