Bump Logic

Bump Logic is an automated workflow process where valuation products are upgraded from an initial AVM, based on risk policies, business rules and valuation results. Providers who offer automated bump logic can provide intelligent workflow. For example, Lender X places an AVM order and the system evaluates the product’s confidence score, comparing its results to a prior value or loan balance. Based on predetermined business rules and allowable deviations, the AVM is automatically upgraded to a hybrid, BPO or appraisal as needed. Bump logic dynamically identifies product requirements for each valuation order and automatically delivers the most economical and risk compliant solution for that specific request. The technology enables lenders to take advantage of the AVM‘s lower costs and quicker turn-times, but allows for automated upgrades to more appropriate valuation products when required.
