Multiple Listing Service (MLS)

Definition of Multiple Listing Service MLS

Multiple Listing Service (MLS) is used by local realtors to share information on properties that are for sale in their area. Each city/area is segmented into “Realtor Boards” or “MLS Boards” that control the association of Realtors or MLS system for that area. Each agent/broker must pay to subscribe to the local board and MLS. This provides them access to post properties for sale so other realtors can see them and show them to clients, and to search for properties for their clients or for research, such as completing BPOs.
