Clear Capital

Tom Huffman is Vice President of Platform Services for Clear Capital and oversees collaborative and modular technology products and services to meet the needs of our clients. He heads up a business unit within the company to ensure its vast data and product resources are easily accessed by clients and partners through robust platform services, increasing their productivity and efficiency.

Tom has over 20 years of experience in leading large scale technology initiatives and providing consulting services to the financial services industry. Most recently, Tom was SVP, corporate officer and CIO for First American Financial. He served as CIO for several First American/Core Logic subsidiaries, including eAppraiseIT, Wells Fargo's Rels Valuation, and Vendor Management Services. He has spent much of his career leading the development and support of eCommerce, order fulfillment, and vendor management platforms. Tom also founded two consulting companies where he successfully developed and marketed process improvement software, information systems, custom integrations and valuation web forms. Tom's contributions have been widely recognized in numerous trade publications and he received a Smithsonian Institute Laureate award and Sybase Outstanding Achievement Award for his technology innovations. Huffman earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from the University of Colorado. 

Outside of work, Tom spends his time with his teenage son playing tennis, enjoying the outdoor activities in the Lake Tahoe area, and learning how to kite surf. He also enjoys organic gardening and learning about self-sustainability.
