Job Description
The Oracle PL/SQL Developer will be a part of a quick paced development team supporting Clear Capital’s database architecture.  The developer will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of complex Oracle PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers. The primary responsibilities include supporting both OLTP and data warehouse projects; implement database applications and interfaces, this will involve new development, as well as supporting existing code, fixing bugs and implementing enhancements on systems in production. 

In this role, the developer will also perform periodic batch data loads, supporting internal data warehouses and related applications, and enhance current processes by creating or modifying PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, indexes, views, and database organization. Extract and import data in and out of the Oracle Data Warehouses.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities 
  • Design and develop complex Oracle PL/SQL logic and code with assistance of business expert to implement defined functionality 
  • Develop and maintain data models, and structures 
  • Author both functional and software design documents 
  • Develop test plans and perform unit tests on developed code 
  • Follows coding standards (and/or style of existing code where appropriate) 
  • Interact with the customer when necessary to solicit requirements 
  • Personality, enthusiasm and ability to learn and work independently 
Required Job Related Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience 
  • Three (3) or more years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL (10g or higher) development 
  • Three (3) or more years of regular use of complex SQL, PL/SQL (use of temp tables, user defined functions, collections, Bulk Binds) 
  • Experience with Oracle regular expressions 
  • Knowldege of Oracle SQL, including performance tuning skills 
  • Knowledge of Oracle Data structures and data management 
  • Experience in ETL development 
  • Experience in database (OLTP and Warehouse) application development 
  • Strong analytical and logistical skills 
  • Proficiency in Oracle based tools like SQL*Plus, SQL*Loader, Data Pump and Toad 
  • Good verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated 
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment 
  • Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs 
Additional Qualifications
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin, or similar tool, is a plus
  • Experience interfacing with ColdFusion and/or Java is a plus
  • Experience with PostgreSQL database administration is a plus 
  • Experience developing in PL/pgSQL and/or 'R'' is a plus
  • Although this is not a Database Administrator (DBA) role, some experience as a DBA would be helpful
